Hidden within the rolling green hills of the Strzelecki Ranges, the meandering Agnes River cascades over rocks into a deep picturesque gorge.
At 59 metres, Agnes Falls are the highest single span falls in Victoria.
yesterday i went for a drive to Agnes Falls. i saw this place on a map quite a while ago, and had wanted to go since.
it was sunny when i got to the ‘scenic lookout’, but no sooner had i set up my camera, it began raining quite heavily.
i took another light reading, 5sec @ f/32 and took 2 shots.
the camera got very wet, as did i.

Lovely falls, I’ve never heard of them James, where are they.
I really like how you have photographed them.
Thank you Leanne!
the only way i found them was by google maps! while looking for somewhere to go one day, i noticed Agnes Falls on the map, so went for a drive.

thanks for that, I might have to look it up. Thanks James
Nice shot man. I grew up in Agnes haha.
Thanks man.
Really? Ha awesome.
Do you know if there’s any way to get to the bottom of the falls?
No idea, I think I was like 12 the last time I went up there. I lived next to a farm that the Agnes river ran through, closer to the mouth where the actual “township” of Agnes is. I guess you could hike through a bunch of properties and find a way haha.
This is one of your “silk” images. When you want to know something, ask in the neighborhood. Good rule of thumb. I bet you can get to the bottom of the falls just by asking.
