rainy days

last week i went for a drive up in to the hills, it was damn cold, about 2.C and nearly snowing..
i had the Hasselblad with me thought id have a go at pushing film.
i used Kodak TriX 400 and Kodak TMax 400 both pushed one stop to 800iso.
didnt have much luck finding dev times for those films at 800 iso with Rodinal, other than stand dev, so i just used TMax 1-4, which turned out to be the same times as they would be normally when dev’d at 400…
the first shot is Tmax and the second TriX.

Den Of Nargun

I went for a drive yesterday with Luke yesterday to the Den Of Nargun.
its a series of waterfalls between Bairnsdale and Dargo.
this shot was taken on my Crown Graphic 4×5, Tmax 400 and a GND filter.

a day out with the 4×5

a few weekends ago i went out with the 4×5 and shot a few sheets.
im struggling a bit remembering to set aperture and close lens after focusing, but with a bit more practice, and the note i now have on top of the camera, it shouldn’t happen anymore….
i just bought a Schneider 150mm f/5.6 Symmar Convertible, so im keen to give it a go soon.

randoms.

i tend to keep my Ricoh GR1s in my car, so that i always have a camera with me, and its perfect size to fit in my pocket.
since im not really good at shooting lots of photos a roll of 36 tends to last a few weeks, to months depending on where i go or what i do, so by the time the roll is finished, i have quite a range of different shots.

Thomson Dam.

after visiting the snow on the weekend, i drove a few K’s down the road to Thompsom Dam. i have a strange obsession with dams and mountains, i dont know why, maybe its the wide open spaces, being surrounded by bush, but it tends to have a calming influence on me.
the next 2 photos were taken on a Crown Graphic 4×5 with TMax 400 film.
im really enjoying using this camera and format, just need to get better at loading film holders…

the snow.

last weekend i went for a drive to the snow, and did a bit of trekking.
i have also been using a new developer, Rodinal R09, and i must say i like it! the tones, contrast, sharpness, when combined with TMax 400 films are all excellent.

these 2 shots were taken with a Mamiya RB67, 90mm lens and Kodak Tmax 400.

the shadows.

work, weather and being sick has slowed me down a bit lately, but i have been busy developing and scanning films last 2 days, and ill have some more photos up soon!

Wilsons Prom

a few weeks ago i went for a drive with a friend to Wilsons Prom to shoot some photos and to have a look around.
the weather wasn’t the greatest, especially since i also used some Fuji Velvia 50 film, i was hoping for some sunshine and blue skies.
overall it was a good day, got a heap of good photo’s i’m happy with. hopefully i can get down there again soon with my newest addition to my camera collection, a Crown Graphic 4×5.

Less than three

I couldn't surrender, try as they might, to an expectation, a label, or a routine. Constantly I'd struggle, trying to fit in a preconceived mold but I'd only end up hurting myself in the process, I was either too big, too small, or the wrong 'shape' of thinking!
